Therapeutic Consultation is a service that is provided to children who are currently receiving Habilitative Intervention and have been determined through assessment that they require a more advanced level of training and assistance based on the child’s complex needs. The consultant can perform advanced assessments, monitor the progress and coordinate the implementation of the plan across all environments, as well as consult with other service providers.
Respite
Respite is planned or emergency care provided to a child or adult with a special need in order to provide temporary relief to the family caregiver of that child or adult. Respite is a short-term, temporary break away from the responsibilities of providing care and allowing an alternate care provider to help the individual who is in need of constant care.
